Getting into your new place just got easier—and cheaper.

Jetty Deposit is a deposit alternative that replaces a traditional cash deposit with a low, non-refundable payment. It doesn’t get you off the hook for paying rent or for damages, but gives your landlord security in renting to you without collecting a large sum up front.

Learn more about how Jetty Deposit works below.

How it works

  • Save some serious cash.

Instead of putting up a ton of cash before moving in, you can opt for a low monthly payment (or a one-time payment) that costs a fraction of a traditional security deposit. This saves you hundreds (even thousands!) of dollars on move-in costs.

  • Sign up in seconds.

In less than a minute, you can sign up from your smartphone or computer. Plus, we take credit cards—so you won’t need to dig out your checkbook to get covered.

  • Move out and move on.

If you take good care of your place, you’ll simply move out when your lease is up. Sure beats waiting around for a deposit refund! Remember, you remain liable for damages and unpaid rent. If you fail to settle your account when you move out, we will step in and pay your landlord up to the total amount of the policy. We will then work with you directly to recover that amount.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

How is my Jetty price calculated?

A.

We’ll ask for your SSN and do a “soft” credit check (which doesn’t impact your credit score!) to determine your monthly price. The better your credit, the lower your cost.

Q.

Can I pay for Jetty up front?

A.

Yes! If you’d prefer to pay up front, that option is also available as you go through the purchase flow.

Q.

What if I don’t have a social security number?

A.

If you’re a foreign national and don’t have a SSN yet, you can still apply for Jetty. We have pricing for this scenario, and can still issue you a policy.

Q.

Does Jetty get me off the hook for damage to my apartment?

A.

No, it doesn’t. In the event that you cause damage (or miss a rent payment), you’ll still be responsible for payment. If Jetty pays a claim to your landlord, we’ll be in touch to collect the funds.

Q.

What happens if I move?

A.

If you move to a new unit within the same building, Jetty will move with you. If you move out of that building altogether, just let us know and we’ll stop your monthly payments.

Ready to Jetty?

Head to your property’s custom Jetty URL to sign up. If you’re not sure what that URL is, just ask your leasing agent.
